On Wednesday, February 15th, we hosted a fireside chat with Vena COO, Tina Goulbourne, to explore her journey as a Black female tech exec and the unique challenges Tina has experienced on her path to the C-suite.
One of the topics that came up was how to identify a champion at work. Someone who will support you on your journey and provide mentorship.
My question for the community is, how did you identify your champion at work? What were the "green flags" that you looked for?
For me, it was someone who created space on a call for me to speak. Asked for my opinion and feedback, and made sure I had the opportunity to share.
